I don’t know what’s worse – winter, or a sneak peak of spring followed by a blast of winter so severe that you get a brain freeze by simply opening the door to let the dogs out. Yesterday, all day it was close to 50 degrees with thunderstorms – and then, a cruel joke- the temp dropped by 40 degrees in a matter of a few hours. Yikes! The entire city is now the world’s largest skating rink. Those who are one brick shy of a full load have attempted to venture out into this artic mess, only to find themselves in ditches. No doubt these are the same people I see at the grocery store on a 18 degree day in shorts and flip flops. Weather like this just makes me want to knit all the more. There is nothing quite like sitting by the fire on a night like tonight watching endless reruns of nothingness, and knitting happily away, oblivious to all that is going on around you. Maybe this will give me the incentive to finish a project or two that are getting near completion. Who knows, I might even have something to show off by tomorrow!
